C. difficile vaccine formulation 2 is one of three new toxoid-based vaccine formulations developed by Pfizer to prevent severe diarrhea caused by *Clostridioides difficile* (C. diff). It is administered via intramuscular injection and is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical study to assess its safety, tolerability, immunogenicity, and immunopersistence in healthy adults aged 65 to 84 years who have not previously had a C. diff infection or received a C. diff vaccine or monoclonal antibody therapy.
