The C1-produced ferritin nanoparticle Mpox antigen vaccine is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine candidate developed through a collaboration between Dyadic International and ViroVax. The vaccine utilizes Dyadic's proprietary C1 protein production platform, derived from the fungus *Thermothelomyces heterothallica*, to express Mpox virus antigens. These antigens are engineered to self-assemble onto a ferritin nanoparticle scaffold, a design intended to enhance immunogenicity by presenting the antigens in a multivalent format. The vaccine is formulated with ViroVax's adjuvant technology to further boost the immune response. The program aims to provide a scalable, cost-effective alternative to existing Mpox vaccines for both human and veterinary applications.
