Overview

C11C1 is a monoclonal antibody that targets high-molecular-weight kininogen (KNG1), specifically binding to domain 5 of its light chain. It acts by blocking the interaction of kininogen with endothelial cells and leukocytes, resulting in inhibition of the plasma kallikrein-kinin system and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) pathways. This mechanism leads to attenuation of angiogenesis, inflammation, and metastasis in several preclinical disease models, including arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, multiple myeloma, and melanoma. C11C1 has demonstrated therapeutic potential in animal models by reducing joint inflammation, colitis, and tumor metastasis, with minimal reported toxicity[1][2][3][4][6].
