Overview

C220 is a synthesized arylpiperazine derivative that was investigated for its effects on intraocular pressure (IOP). In an IOP recovery method using New Zealand rabbits, C220 demonstrated an IOP lowering effect, though it was less significant compared to other compounds like BG31 and YCT2-2. However, in an alpha-chymotrypsin-induced glaucoma model, C220 showed a trend to increase IOP over time. The compound was topically instilled onto the eyes in these animal models.
