Drug intelligence / Profile preview
C269 is a candidate monoclonal antibody that targets extracellular Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (eNAMPT). eNAMPT is a cytokine that is elevated in patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and is associated with resistance to anti-TNF therapies. C269 binds to eNAMPT and neutralizes its cytokine activity, thereby reducing inflammation, immune cell infiltration, and fibrosis. In preclinical models of IBD (DSS and DNBS), C269 has demonstrated efficacy in reducing symptoms. It is being investigated as a potential therapeutic strategy for IBD patients, particularly those who are non-responsive to standard biologic treatments.
