CA002

CA002 is a proprietary, biological oral immunotherapy developed for the treatment of peanut allergy. It consists of a whole peanut protein formulation designed to enable safe and tolerable oral administration as an immunomodulatory therapy. The regimen aims to provide "bite-proof" protection by gradually desensitizing patients with peanut hypersensitivity, reducing the risk of severe allergic reactions upon accidental exposure. Developed by Cambridge Allergy (Camallergy), a spin-out from Cambridge University Hospitals, CA002 has demonstrated high tolerability and compliance in clinical studies, with significantly reduced use of epinephrine compared to other oral immunotherapies. The product is currently in late-stage clinical development and has not yet received regulatory approval[1][2][3][4][8].
