Overview

CA102N is a covalently bound conjugate of a modified nimesulide (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) and sodium hyaluronic acid (NaHA). The drug is designed to deliver nimesulide directly to tumors by exploiting the interaction between hyaluronic acid and CD44, a cell surface receptor overexpressed in several cancers, notably colorectal cancer. This targeted delivery aims to enhance antitumor activity while minimizing systemic toxicity. CA102N acts primarily by targeting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway and CD44-mediated uptake. It is being developed as both monotherapy and in combination with trifluridine-tipiracil for patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors, including colorectal cancer. Early clinical studies have shown it to be safe and well-tolerated at recommended doses, with preliminary evidence of antitumor activity[1][3][4].
