CA111 is an innovative, long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist developed by Chongqing Chenan Biological Pharmaceutical. It is primarily being developed for the treatment of obesity and overweight. As a GLP-1 receptor agonist, CA111 mimics the action of the endogenous hormone GLP-1, which regulates glucose metabolism and appetite. The drug works by stimulating insulin secretion in a glucose-dependent manner, inhibiting glucagon secretion, and delaying gastric emptying.
