Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CA45 is a pan-ebolavirus monoclonal antibody discovered by Integrated BioTherapeutics (IBT). It functions by binding to a shared region on the Ebola virus surface glycoprotein fusion loop, thereby neutralizing Ebola, Sudan, and Bundibugyo viruses. The research leading to its discovery was funded by the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). IBT has granted an exclusive license to Eliteimmune for the development of CA45 as a therapeutic countermeasure in the Chinese market.
