Cadiar-DX

Cadiar-DX is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive medication developed and marketed by Maks Drug Limited. It contains bisoprolol fumarate, a cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker, and hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. Bisoprolol reduces blood pressure by decreasing heart rate and cardiac output through the selective inhibition of beta-1 receptors in the heart. Hydrochlorothiazide promotes diuresis and reduces peripheral vascular resistance by inhibiting the sodium-chloride symporter in the distal convoluted tubules of the kidney, leading to increased excretion of sodium and water. This combination is primarily indicated for the management of hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy.
