Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CadiFlu-S** is a recombinant, trivalent seasonal influenza **virus-like particle vaccine** developed by CPL Biologicals, a Cadila Pharmaceuticals/Novavax joint venture. It contains influenza-virus-like particles incorporating hemagglutinin, neuraminidase, and matrix protein 1 antigens from two influenza A subtypes and one influenza B lineage. The nonreplicating VLPs mimic viral structure without containing viral genetic material, stimulating protective humoral immune responses against included influenza strains. It is supplied as a 0.5 mL intramuscular injection for prevention of seasonal influenza.
