Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cadisurf is an investigational goat lung surfactant extract developed for the treatment of Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) in preterm neonates. It is administered intratracheally to replace deficient endogenous surfactant, thereby reducing surface tension in the alveoli and improving lung function. The drug is being evaluated in a multi-site randomized clinical trial against Survanta (beractant), a standard preparation, to compare its efficacy and safety.
