Overview

This is a combination regimen consisting of cadonilimab, capecitabine, and oxaliplatin. Cadonilimab is a tetravalent bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets both programmed death 1 (PD-1) and cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4 (CTLA-4), two key immune checkpoints. By blocking these pathways, it reinvigorates T cell activity against cancer cells and can overcome resistance to single-agent immunotherapies[1][2][5][7]. Capecitabine is an oral prodrug of fluorouracil, classified as an antimetabolite chemotherapy agent; it interferes with DNA synthesis in rapidly dividing cells[6][8]. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that forms DNA crosslinks, inhibiting DNA replication and transcription. This triple-drug regimen leverages immunotherapy with dual checkpoint inhibition alongside cytotoxic chemotherapy to enhance anti-tumor efficacy. The combination has been investigated primarily in advanced or metastatic cancers such as gastric cancer and cervical cancer[5][7].
