Overview

cadonilimab + ivonescimab + chemotherapy is an investigational combination regimen developed by Akeso Biopharma for the treatment of recurrent ovarian cancer. This therapeutic approach utilizes two first-in-class bispecific antibodies: cadonilimab (AK104), which simultaneously targets the immune checkpoints PD-1 and CTLA-4, and ivonescimab (AK112), which targets PD-1 and the angiogenic factor VEGF-A. By combining these biologics with standard chemotherapy, the regimen aims to provide a synergistic effect through dual checkpoint inhibition and anti-angiogenesis, potentially overcoming the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment characteristic of advanced ovarian malignancies. The combination is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to assess its efficacy and safety in patients with recurrent disease.
