Overview

CAF09b is a **cationic liposomal vaccine adjuvant** developed by Statens Serum Institut. It comprises dimethyldioctadecylammonium bromide, monomycoloyl glycerol, and polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid. The formulation is designed to enhance antigen-specific cellular immunity, particularly cytotoxic CD8-positive T-cell responses, through innate immune activation and liposomal antigen delivery. CAF09b has been evaluated as an adjuvant in personalized neoantigen cancer vaccines, a Bcl-xL peptide vaccine for prostate cancer, and the CTH522 vaccine for trachoma and chlamydial infection. Croda holds an exclusive license to manufacture and commercialize the CAF adjuvant portfolio, including CAF09b. ([vac.niaid.nih.gov](https://vac.niaid.nih.gov/view?id=76))
