Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAL005 is a humanized VHH nanobody (single-domain antibody) developed by Calgent Biotechnology. It is designed to target ELR+ CXC chemokines and the CXCR2 receptor. By blocking these targets, CAL005 inhibits the recruitment and activation of neutrophils, which are key drivers of tissue damage in various inflammatory conditions. The drug is currently being developed for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other neutrophil-mediated inflammatory diseases.
