Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of topical calcipotriol (a vitamin D analog) and oral fumaric acid esters (FAEs) for the treatment of psoriasis. This combination has been shown to be significantly more effective and faster acting than FAE monotherapy in treating severe plaque psoriasis. The combination also demonstrates an FAE-sparing effect, allowing for lower doses of FAEs while maintaining efficacy, thus providing a superior benefit/risk ratio.
