Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A dental formulation combining calcium glycerophosphate (CaGP) and fluoride designed to enhance remineralization of tooth enamel and prevent dental caries. The combination works through several mechanisms: CaGP increases calcium and phosphate levels important for tooth mineral structure, directly affects enamel to decrease the acid solubility of hydroxyapatite, and enhances fluoride uptake for improved remineralization effects. This combination has shown effectiveness in protecting against enamel demineralization and may be particularly beneficial for patients at high risk of caries or those with calcium or phosphate deficiency in saliva.
