Calcium lactate is a mineral supplement and food additive used to treat or prevent low blood calcium levels (hypocalcemia) in individuals who do not get enough calcium from their diet. It is also indicated for conditions such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia/rickets, hypoparathyroidism, and latent tetany. Calcium lactate plays a vital role in normal nerve, muscle, cell, and bone function by providing bioavailable calcium ions.
