Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Caldale is an oral combination nutritional supplement marketed by Juggat Pharma (a division of Jagdale Industries). It is formulated with calcium citrate, magnesium hydroxide, zinc sulfate, and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). Caldale is indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium deficiency, osteoporosis, osteomalacia, and fractures, and is particularly used to meet the increased nutritional demands during pregnancy, lactation, and menopause. Calcium citrate and vitamin D3 work synergistically to promote bone mineralization and maintain calcium homeostasis by activating the calcium-sensing receptor (CASR) and the vitamin D receptor (VDR), respectively, while magnesium and zinc serve as essential cofactors for bone formation and enzymatic processes.
