Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CALT-GM-NVs (dual-targeted nanovesicles) is a nanomedicine platform designed to target cancer stem-like cells (CSCs) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The therapeutic mechanism involves inducing differentiation of cancer stem-like cells, which are responsible for tumor heterogeneity and radiotherapy resistance[1]. RNA sequencing analysis demonstrated that CALT-GM-NVs downregulate oncogenic signaling pathways while upregulating pathways associated with cellular differentiation[1]. This dual-targeted approach addresses the highly plastic nature of cancer stem-like cells that drive therapeutic resistance in HCC.
