Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Calzmax-D3 is an oral nutritional supplement marketed by Sanivo Biotec for the support of bone health. It is a fixed-dose combination containing calcium carbonate (equivalent to 500 mg of elemental calcium), magnesium (100 mg), vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol, 200 IU), and zinc (4 mg). Calcium and magnesium are essential minerals that provide structural integrity to the bone matrix, while zinc acts as a cofactor for enzymes involved in bone remodeling. Vitamin D3 enhances the intestinal absorption of calcium by binding to and activating the vitamin D receptor (VDR). Together, these components work synergistically to maintain bone mineral density and prevent bone-related disorders such as osteoporosis and osteomalacia.
