Overview

cam161533 is a Tri-Specific Killer Cell Engager (TriKE) designed for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It is a recombinant fusion protein that simultaneously targets CD16 on natural killer (NK) cells and CD33 on AML cells, while incorporating an interleukin-15 (IL-15) moiety to promote NK cell expansion, persistence, and activation. By bridging NK cells to tumor cells and providing a localized cytokine signal, cam161533 enhances NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity against myeloid malignancies. It is currently being evaluated in preclinical studies, often in combination with other immunotherapies such as IL-1RAP-targeted CAR-NK cells, to overcome chemotherapy resistance in relapsed or refractory AML.
