CAM2028

**CAM2028** is a Camurus-developed, topical bioadhesive lipid formulation designed to relieve pain from oral mucositis. Phospholipid and triglyceride components spread across the oral mucosa and self-assemble with small amounts of saliva into a liquid-crystalline protective lining, providing rapid mechanical shielding of ulcerated mucosa. In the investigational **CAM2028-benzydamine** version, the formulation locally delivered benzydamine hydrochloride, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory small molecule; however, the unmedicated CAM2028 control provided similar analgesia in a randomized crossover Phase 2 study, indicating that barrier formation was the principal observed contributor to pain relief.
