Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAM4083 is a long-acting, weekly subcutaneous depot formulation of the complement component 5 (C5) inhibitor zilucoplan, developed using Camurus’ FluidCrystal technology as a sustained-release version of zilucoplan for chronic administration. It is being developed in partnership with UCB (originally Ra Pharmaceuticals) for the treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis, immune‑mediated necrotizing myopathy, and other tissue‑based complement C5‑mediated disorders, aiming to provide convenient once‑weekly dosing with maintained C5 inhibition for diseases driven by terminal complement pathway activation.[1][9][7][13]
