Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Camelplas is a veterinary plasma product consisting of pathogen-screened, hyperimmune camelid plasma formulated to provide high concentrations of gamma globulins and other plasma proteins to camelids, particularly neonatal animals with failure of passive transfer or inadequate colostrum intake. By supplying ready-made antibodies derived from hyperimmunised donor animals, Camelplas offers immediate passive humoral immunity, helping to prevent or mitigate infectious disease while the recipient’s own immune system matures. The product is administered intravenously under veterinary supervision and is produced to regulatory standards for animal plasma products in markets such as Australia and New Zealand.
