Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Najit Technologies is developing a Campylobacter vaccine, an inactivated whole-bacteria candidate designed to prevent campylobacteriosis, a major cause of bacterial foodborne illness. The vaccine is produced using Najit's proprietary HydroVax platform, which employs a targeted chemical inactivation process. This method is intended to maintain the structural integrity of the bacteria's surface antigens, thereby enhancing the vaccine's ability to elicit a robust and protective immune response compared to traditional heat or formalin inactivation. The project is currently in the preclinical stage of development and aims to provide broad protection against Campylobacter species, which are a leading cause of gastroenteritis worldwide.
