Overview
This is a **three-drug combination regimen** used primarily in cancer treatment trials, especially for gastrointestinal and hepatocellular malignancies. It consists of: - **Camrelizumab**: a monoclonal antibody that inhibits the programmed cell death protein 1 (**PD-1**) receptor, boosting anti-tumor immune response. - **Apatinib**: a small molecule orally administered tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (**VEGFR2**), inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. - **mFOLFOX7**: a modified version of the FOLFOX chemotherapy regimen comprising intravenous folinic acid (leucovorin), fluorouracil (5-FU), and oxaliplatin. These agents interfere with DNA synthesis and cell division, directly killing rapidly dividing cancer cells. This combination is being investigated in trials for the treatment of advanced cancers, such as hepatocellular carcinoma and gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas. The mFOLFOX7 protocol is administered intravenously in cycles, while camrelizumab is also given intravenously, and apatinib is taken orally.
