Camrelizumab + pemetrexed is a combination therapy consisting of camrelizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), and pemetrexed, an antifolate chemotherapy agent. This combination is used primarily in the treatment of advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without EGFR or ALK genomic alterations. Camrelizumab acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking PD-1, thereby enhancing T-cell mediated anti-tumor responses. Pemetrexed inhibits folate-dependent enzymes involved in nucleotide synthesis, leading to inhibition of tumor cell proliferation. The combination has demonstrated significant improvements in progression-free survival and overall survival compared to chemotherapy alone and is considered a standard-of-care first-line therapy for this patient population[1][2][3][4].
