Camrelizumab + anti-angiogenic TKIs + irinotecan is a combination therapeutic regimen being evaluated for the treatment of metastatic colorectal mucinous adenocarcinoma (MAC). The regimen consists of camrelizumab (a PD-1 inhibitor), a choice of anti-angiogenic tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) including fruquintinib, regorafenib, or apatinib, and the chemotherapy agent irinotecan. Camrelizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor to restore anti-tumor T-cell activity. The TKIs target vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR) to inhibit tumor angiogenesis, while irinotecan acts as a topoisomerase I inhibitor to disrupt DNA replication. This combination is primarily being studied in a Phase II clinical trial (NCT04446091) sponsored by Zhejiang Cancer Hospital.
