This combination therapy consists of the anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody camrelizumab, the VEGFR2-selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor apatinib, and a standard chemotherapy doublet of pemetrexed and carboplatin. It is being investigated by The First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University for the treatment of patients with ALK-positive advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have progressed on or failed prior tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy. Apatinib (marketed as Aitan) acts as an antiangiogenic agent by inhibiting tumor blood vessel formation, while camrelizumab (marketed as AiRuiKa) enhances the immune system's ability to detect and destroy tumor cells. The addition of chemotherapy aims to provide cytotoxic effects and potentially synergize with the immunotherapy and antiangiogenic components. This Phase II single-arm clinical trial evaluates the efficacy and safety of this quadruple combination approach in a population with limited treatment options after TKI resistance.
