This is a four-drug combination regimen consisting of camrelizumab (a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting PD-1), apatinib mesylate (a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor selectively targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2/VEGFR2), albumin-bound paclitaxel (nab-paclitaxel; a microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapeutic agent formulated with albumin for improved delivery), and cisplatin (a platinum-based DNA crosslinking chemotherapeutic). The combination is being investigated primarily as first-line or subsequent therapy for advanced solid tumors such as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and gastric cancer. Camrelizumab blocks the PD-1 immune checkpoint to enhance T-cell mediated antitumor immunity. Apatinib inhibits angiogenesis by blocking VEGFR2 signaling. Albumin-bound paclitaxel disrupts microtubule function in dividing cells, while cisplatin induces DNA damage leading to apoptosis[1][3][4][5].
