Camrelizumab + carboplatin + paclitaxel is a combination regimen used primarily as first-line therapy for advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and has also been studied in other cancers such as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Camrelizumab is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), blocking its interaction with PD-L1/PD-L2 and thereby enhancing T-cell mediated antitumor immune responses. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that induces DNA crosslinking, leading to apoptosis of rapidly dividing cells. Paclitaxel is a microtubule inhibitor that disrupts mitosis by stabilizing microtubules, preventing their depolymerization. The combination leverages the immunomodulatory effects of camrelizumab with the cytotoxic actions of chemotherapy to improve survival outcomes in patients with advanced cancers[1][4][5][7].
