Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Camrelizumab + FOLFOX4 is a combination regimen of an immune checkpoint inhibitor and a multi-agent chemotherapy protocol. **Camrelizumab** is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (**PD-1**) receptor, enhancing immune-mediated antitumor activity by blocking PD-1's interaction with its ligands (**PD-L1**, **PD-L2**), thereby promoting T-cell activation and immune response against tumors. **FOLFOX4** is a chemotherapy regimen consisting of oxaliplatin (a platinum-based DNA crosslinking agent), folinic acid (leucovorin, enhances 5-FU efficacy), and fluorouracil (5-FU, a pyrimidine analog antimetabolite which inhibits thymidylate synthase, impairing DNA synthesis and function). The combination is under clinical investigation and/or use primarily for gastrointestinal cancers, including **colorectal cancer**, **gastric cancer**, and **esophageal cancer**, aiming to combine the cytotoxic effects of chemotherapy with the immunomodulatory impact of immune checkpoint blockade.
