This neoadjuvant combination therapy regimen consists of camrelizumab, nab-paclitaxel, and carboplatin, specifically being investigated for the treatment of resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Camrelizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that acts as a checkpoint inhibitor by targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, thereby enhancing the immune system's ability to detect and destroy tumor cells. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel that disrupts microtubule dynamics, leading to mitotic arrest and cell death, while carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that induces DNA damage through the formation of intra-strand and inter-strand cross-links. The regimen is the focus of the Phase II NANE-LC trial conducted by Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital, which also explores the use of a multiomics artificial intelligence system to predict treatment response based on radiomics, metabolism, genetic, and clinical-pathological characteristics.
