Overview
Camrelizumab + nab-paclitaxel + nedaplatin is a combination regimen used primarily as neoadjuvant therapy in oncology. Camrelizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel that disrupts microtubule function and inhibits mitosis in cancer cells. Nedaplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in tumor cells. This combination has shown promising efficacy and manageable safety for patients with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) when administered prior to surgery[1][2]. The regimen leverages both immunotherapy and cytotoxic chemotherapy mechanisms.
