CAMYO-01 is an investigational mRNA-based cancer vaccine developed by myNEO Therapeutics. It incorporates a pool of colorectal cancer-specific "camyotopes," which are novel tumor antigens derived from the non-coding regions of the genome, also known as the "dark genome." These camyotopes are highly specific to cancer cells and are designed to elicit strong immune responses while minimizing off-target toxicity. Unlike personalized vaccines that require patient-specific tumor analysis, CAMYO-01 is formulated as an off-the-shelf product intended for broad use in over 95% of colorectal cancer patients. The vaccine uses lipid nanoparticle (LNP) encapsulation for delivery and leverages both intrinsic adjuvant properties and proven immunogenicity in preclinical models. As of late 2024, it remains in preclinical development with plans to enter clinical trials for colorectal cancer[1][3][5][6].
