Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAN10 is a humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Cantargia that targets the interleukin-1 receptor accessory protein (IL1RAP). By binding to IL1RAP, CAN10 potently inhibits signaling from the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1, IL-33, and IL-36. This broad inhibition of inflammatory pathways is designed to address autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. CAN10 is currently in phase 1 clinical trials for plaque psoriasis and has orphan drug status in the US for systemic sclerosis. Preclinical studies have shown efficacy in models of myocarditis, systemic sclerosis, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, atherosclerosis, and peritonitis. The drug is administered intravenously or subcutaneously.
