CAN1100 is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor developed by CanWell Pharma for the treatment of solid tumors harboring the KRAS G12D mutation. KRAS G12D is a frequent oncogenic driver in several hard-to-treat malignancies, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, colorectal cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer. By selectively binding to the mutant KRAS G12D protein, CAN1100 blocks the activation of downstream signaling cascades, such as the RAF-MEK-ERK (MAPK) pathway, which are responsible for uncontrolled tumor cell proliferation and survival. The drug is currently undergoing preclinical evaluation to support potential clinical development as a targeted therapy for patients with KRAS G12D-mutated cancers.
