The combination of canakinumab and ciclosporin is not a single formulated drug product but rather two separate medications that can be used together in certain clinical scenarios. Both drugs increase immunosuppressive effects, which raises the risk of infection. 2. Medical references recommend to "Avoid or Use Alternate Drug" when considering this combination. 3. Formation of CYP450 enzymes can be altered by increased levels of certain cytokines during chronic inflammation; canakinumab could normalize the formation of these enzymes. 4.
