A cancer stem cell exosome-loaded dendritic cell vaccine is an investigational immunotherapy designed to stimulate the immune system against cancer by using dendritic cells (DCs) that have been pulsed or loaded with exosomes derived from cancer stem cells. Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles containing tumor-associated antigens and other bioactive molecules. When these exosomes are taken up by DCs, the resulting "educated" DCs can present a broad array of tumor antigens to T cells, thereby inducing a robust anti-tumor immune response. This approach aims to harness both the antigen-presenting power of DCs and the diverse antigenic content of cancer stem cell-derived exosomes to generate cytotoxic T lymphocyte responses capable of targeting multiple types of tumors. Preclinical studies have shown that such vaccines can inhibit tumor growth and metastasis in animal models and induce long-term T-cell immunity[1][4][5]. The strategy is under investigation for various cancers but remains experimental.
