Overview

Cancerase is a CRISPR-based anti-cancer drug platform developed by G+FLAS Life Sciences. It is designed as a DNA-based therapeutic that utilizes CRISPR/gRNA technology to specifically target and edit cancer-specific mutant DNA sequences within cancer cells. By employing CRISPR 'gene scissors,' the platform aims to induce cell death or inhibit tumor growth by disrupting essential oncogenic mutations. The technology is being developed for a wide range of indications, including head and neck cancer, cervical cancer, hematologic malignancies such as leukemia and lymphoma, lung cancer, and pancreatic cancer, with a broader claim for applicability across all solid tumors. The platform utilizes the company's proprietary gfCas12a enzyme to perform precise DNA editing specifically in malignant cells.
