Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CancerVX (also referred to as OncoVacx) is an investigational onco-epigenetic DNA immunotherapy and personalized cancer vaccine developed by the World Cancer Institute. It is formulated as a trivalent compound conjugate that integrates two long-approved FDA drugs with two sesquiterpene lactones and their analogue constituents. The therapy is designed to target the root genetic drivers of malignancy through a 'triad' mechanism of action: DNA demethylation, histone deacetylase (HDAC) regulation, and neuro-immuno modulation (NIM). By addressing DNA aberrations and altered gene expression at the mitotic spindle and microtubule chromosomal interface, CancerVX aims to inhibit the growth, replication, and proliferation of cancer cells. The platform is intended to treat a broad spectrum of malignancies, including inflammatory breast cancer, anal cancer, and various other solid tumors and hematological cancers, with a specific focus on reversing treatment resistance and reactivating the p53 tumor suppressor gene.
