Candesartan + amlodipine is a fixed-dose combination of two antihypertensive agents used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Candesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that works by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the type-1 angiotensin II receptor (AT1), thereby preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, which results in lowered blood pressure[4][6].
