Overview
**Canesbalance** is a single-use intravaginal lactic acid gel marketed by Bayer for relief of symptoms associated with bacterial vaginosis, including abnormal vaginal odour and discharge. The gel acidifies the vaginal environment to restore normal vaginal pH; its glycogen component acts as a prebiotic substrate that supports protective lactobacilli and helps re-establish normal vaginal flora. The 7 × 5 mL applicator presentation is also being evaluated in a prospective study for post-episiotomy wound healing and postpartum sexual quality of life.
