Overview

Canine PD-L1 (NodCure-PD-L1-Cancer) is a veterinary oncology therapeutic candidate developed by NodCure for the treatment of cancer in dogs. It is a monoclonal antibody designed to target and inhibit the Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) immune checkpoint. PD-L1 is a protein often overexpressed by cancer cells to suppress the host's immune response by binding to PD-1 receptors on T-cells. By blocking this interaction, the drug aims to restore the anti-tumor activity of the canine immune system, allowing T-cells to recognize and destroy malignant cells. The program is currently in the IND-enabling phase, which includes toxicity studies and investigator-initiated trials (IIT).
