Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Cannabidiol + cannabinol** is an unbranded phytocannabinoid combination comprising cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabinol (CBN). It is not a single standardized or approved pharmaceutical product; the name can describe multiple formulations, doses, and routes. CBN is a low-affinity partial agonist of cannabinoid CB1 and CB2 receptors, while CBD has pleiotropic cannabinoid-system and non-cannabinoid activity, including modulation of GPR55, TRPV1, and PPARγ signaling. A registered study has evaluated an aqueous CBD/CBN solution for facial pain and headache of muscular origin, and another completed study evaluated CBN formulations with and without CBD for sleep quality.
