Overview

This investigational aqueous solution is a combination of the phytocannabinoids cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabinol (CBN), developed by Wroclaw Medical University for the treatment of chronic facial pain and headaches of muscular origin. CBD and CBN are non-psychoactive or mildly psychoactive compounds derived from the Cannabis sativa plant that interact with the endocannabinoid system to modulate pain signaling and inflammatory responses. The formulation is administered orally, with dosing determined by a physician, and is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (NCT05961501) to assess its efficacy in reducing pain intensity and improving muscle function as measured by electromyography and pressure pain threshold tests.
