Overview

Cannabigerivarin is a naturally occurring minor phytocannabinoid from *Cannabis sativa* and the propyl homolog of cannabigerol. It is a small-molecule cannabinoid that has been studied mainly as a research compound rather than a developed medicine. Preclinical pharmacology suggests weak or partial activity at canonical cannabinoid receptors, including cannabinoid receptor 1 and cannabinoid receptor 2, with additional reported interactions across transient receptor potential channels that may contribute to analgesic, anti-inflammatory, or neuromodulatory effects; however, its pharmacology remains incompletely defined and no established therapeutic indication, approved product, or well-documented clinical development program specific to cannabigerivarin has been established. In current practice, it is primarily available as a reference standard or research-use phytocannabinoid rather than a marketed pharmaceutical.
