Drug intelligence / Profile preview
APIRx Pharma Sciences is developing a cannabinoid-based composition for the treatment of various inflammatory and dermatological conditions, including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and vitiligo, as well as medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). The asset is a small molecule cannabinoid formulation designed to modulate inflammation and tissue/bone remodeling through the endocannabinoid system. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, with a granted U.S. patent (10,272,051) for the topical formulation in atopic dermatitis and other applications pending. The therapeutic approach leverages the endocannabinoid pathway to address underlying inflammatory processes and promote tissue repair.
